Nelson Echer

As Principal Virtual Security Consultant (VSO), Nelson is highly regarded amongst both customers and the wider InfoSec community for his expertise and his work ethic.

Drawing on more than 10 years’ corporate consulting experience, in both New Zealand and around the world, he brings with him a wealth of knowledge in risk assessment, business continuity planning, and the implementation of effective security controls for leading corporates and government departments.

Prior to joining the Aura team, Nelson was the Security Officer for American multinational, Philip Morris International, where his role involved the management of security assets and infrastructure, security service management and ensuring all services complied with security policies and standards. He has also held senior positions at Meta IT in Brazil and Roche Pharmaceuticals.

Customers who’ve worked with Nelson in the past often refer to him as a ‘nice guy who has the ability to just slot into a business and get stuff done.’
