Barry Brailey Joins Aura Information Security as Principal VSO
Aura Information Security today announced it has appointed seasoned cyber security expert Barry Brailey as Principal Virtual Security Officer (VSO), effective as of 17 July, 2017.
With more than 15 years’ experience in the security industry, Barry has held numerous highly-regarded positions within a wide range of organisations.
Most recently he was Manager of Security Policy at the Domain Name Commission Ltd (DNCL). Prior to this he was Head of Consultancy Services at the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) National Cyber Security Centre.
Barry is an active participant in the New Zealand InfoSec community and has been a member of the New Zealand Internet Task Force (NZITF) Board since 2009, and Chair since 2014. He has also been a Board member of the Information Security Awards NZ (iSANZ) since 2014.
In his role as Principal VSO, Barry will draw on his vast experience in security risk management and incident management to provide expert consultancy advice and leadership to wide range of New Zealand businesses.
